Radio Jack "the GazettE"

Hulo! First of all, a huge thank you to ojou, who helped me out and checked all the mistakes I made or more like retranslated everything XDD;;
At any rate, here's an old[?] gazeboys' radio show, where the MC was Uruha! This was the last radio talk of their two-months-ongoing-show, so, I believe there are some kind of misunderstandings because guys refer a lot to the previous shows... D: And as there is no audio of the show, we cannot get the grasp in some parts, even if it sounded negative, that could've meant positive!
P.S. it's not Kai's/Reita's Radio Jack programmes--they started a little bit later the PSC radio was over. [If I'm correct, the first show was aired somewhere at 2006]. All PSC company's bands had their talk shows repeatedly.
Lastly, I should say... no reposting and enjoy reading! Into the awesomeness! 8D

Radio Jack "the GazettE"

2oo8/o1/25

Uruha: Ha~i, e~h, yes, without delay, we have a opening short question… can I just say it?

Why Aoi-san doesn’t show up [in the radio]?
That was a question sent by ○○-san. Yes, why Aoi-san doesn’t show up?
Aoi: Iya~ How do I say this…
Uruha: Well, but today you came here, right?
Aoi: Today, well, today is my second time on this radio show.
Uruha: That’s right.
Aoi: Because Uruha-san is the MC.
Uruha: That’s right. We haven’t been meeting up recently either..
Aoi: Yes.
Uruha: Ahehe (laughs)
Aoi: I don’t get invited that often…
Uruha: Ah~… Jeez… I wonder about that? By the way, why aren’t you speaking… [Refers to the rest of the band]
Kai: Ahahahahaha (laughs)
Reita: Iya, Uruha-san’s hands are trembling… (laughs)
Ruki: Oh, it’s that thing, isn’t it?
Uruha: I’m a mess; I’m still nervous.
Reita: Well then make it the last time [=get the answer from Aoi]
Uruha: So, about why Aoi-kun doesn’t show up…
Aoi: Seriously, why is it me to be asked for two times in a row? This is actually my third time.
Uruha: That’s right.
Aoi: Isn’t it?
Uruha: Please say it yourself!
Aoi: I’ve skipped the first time-!! Said it!!
Kai: Hahaha (laughs)
Aoi: Ha~i, I’m sorry.
Uruha: So, with this in mind, good evening. It’s Uruha from “the GazettE”. And?
Reita: World’s Reita.
Ruki: Ruki.
Aoi: Super Star.
Kai: Kai~.
Uruha: Yep, in this programme of Peace and Smile music, the members are “Kra”, “Alice Ni~ne” (somehow his tone went upwards) and we, “the GazettE” – who have been here for two months – As we are in charge, I, Uruha, am MC of today’s “Radio Jack the GazettE”. Eh~ and as this week’s [programme] is the last, everyone, please stay with us till the end.
Aoi: We did it!
Reita: Farewell…
Aoi: Please [stay with us till the end].
Uruha: Well, I have written down questions that are like – “please tell me how you feel”
Kai: Is it OK to say that you’ve got stuff written down?? (laughs)
Uruha: [You mean] everyone’s thoughts [for MC]? Or just mine?

Reita: Well then your admiration… (that’s totally intangible, though)
Uruha: First of all, if I’m going to talk about my thoughts… well, I don’t usually talk a lot but I’ve grown a lot through this radio show.
Reita: Did you?! I’m freaked out that you’re actually aware of this yourself!
Uruha: Ah~ I see, sorry. Why don’t we listen to everyone’s thoughts, OK? So, how was it? [the previous radio show, I suppose?.. |D;;]
Reita: For me~ I was only on air during the first half – not that I wasn’t around for the second, but as usual, it was wonderful.
Ruki: The same on his right.
Aoi: You’re Left… [LOL]
Uruha: I see, what about you two?
Aoi: Well, it’s my second time…
Reita: I understand how it’s hard to say…
Aoi: Well, it’s a lenient show.
Uruha: There’s no doubt.
Kai: But you’ve gotten pretty good at progressing, haven’t you?
Uruha: Ah, really??
Kai: Kinda… like you’re talking down… (laughs)
Ruki: Totally talking down
Kai: That’s not good… (laughs)
Ruki: At any rate, he heard us talking about him talking down to us…
Kai: But really, he’s become such a butterfly… [it’s an expression of growth; like how a caterpillar finally becomes a butterfly]
Uruha: Well, I’m still a long way off from Kai-san…
Kai: Nononono
Aoi: Actually, he just sounded easy-going to me, just now.
Kai: Easy-going, isn’t he!
Aoi: He’s fluent.
Kai: FLUENT! (laughs)
Reita: Easy-going!
Kai: I’ve mixed the words… (laughs) [lol, Kai-pan XDDD;; he said "yuuchou", which means "easy-going", but it should've been "ryuuchou" - "fluent"]
Reita: You’re one heck of an MC, hey.
Aoi: When the MC role gets taken from one, one tsks, and one messes words…
Kai: Wait a second! (laughs) People are gonna misunderstand ~, we’re taking turns! Taking turns is the next cool thing.
Reita: Iya, to say it’s the next cool thing…
Aoi: Y’know, he was actually dismissed… (silence) O-kayy, time has stopped!!
Ruki: God just materialized here.
Reita: He’s the one and only, he stops time.

Uruha: ANYWAY, well, uh~ I’m going to introduce mail now; think I’ll start with a short opening question…

Does a friendship between a man and a woman succeed (remain as a friendship)?
Reita: It won’t… [said in a low voice]
Uruha: It won’t, he says.
Reita: Look, the moment you see the other party as a Woman, it won’t succeed.
Ruki: Exactly, so female friends are….
Reita: We don’t think of gender differences. If we have female friends.
Uruha: I see~, well, what if there was absolutely no chance of falling for her?
Ruki: On the contrary, if you fell in love with her, you’ll just start seeing her as a Woman? And if she starts liking me…
Reita: Then there’s no succeeding (as a friendship)
Ruki: Yeah I guess there’s a part of it that’ll never pull through…
Uruha: Ah, but what does Aoi-kun think?
Aoi: Hmm~ Well, I was thinking if it happened to me, I’d totally be jilted. You three just go ahead, then.
Ruki: That was well said, though~
(Everyone burst to laughter)
Ruki: It's enough under normal circumstances, but we can’t help but laugh.
Aoi: Eh? I don’t understand what you’re saying at all.
Kai: Because ○○-san is here, we just can’t help but laugh.
Aoi: I don’t know who’s talking at all.
Ruki: Well, Kai was…
Kai: Nonono
Uruha: The noisy people over there - what do Kai-kun and Aoi-kun think? [Uruha’s back to the question]
Aoi: Wouldn’t it be successful?
Kai: No, there is [the friendship between girls and guys].
Aoi: Our opinions are different~
Reita: By “yes”, you mean you don’t see her as a Woman, right?
Aoi: No, I do see her as a Woman.
Reita: Well, according to her family register, anyway.
Kai: Saying that is kinda odd (laughs)
Aoi: Ah~~~~~~~~
Kai: Personally, I understand how it won’t succeed, but such things probably exist. A friendship between a man and a woman, I mean.
Reita: I think so too.
Uruha: Kinda complicated, this whole situation. Sometimes I think it was a mistake even asking you guys.
Aoi: We’re sorry.

Your favourite mother’s (homemade) dish?
Ruki: It’s sukiyaki, I guess~
Uruha: Go on.
Aoi: Hamburger.
Uruha: Yeah, there are hamburgers~
Reita: As for me… pizza.
Aoi: You’re kiddin’?! (Somehow his pitch went up)
Uruha: What are you - Italian?!
Aoi: That shocked me for a while there; I made some funny sound.
Ruki: That’s totally wrong…
Reita: It’s true, it’s true.
Ruki: That’s a lie!
Reita: My Mom used to bake pizza in a microwave oven. So it was like “What shall we have today? Hmmm pizza!”
Kai: Ahahahahaha~ (laughs)
Ruki: Are you ○○?! (didn’t catch the name)
Reita: No, seriously.
Uruha: You’re joking, right~ What about Kai-kun?
Kai: Ah~ gratin.
Uruha: It’s gratin?
Kai: I would like for everyone to try my mom’s gratin.
Reita: Then, while you’re blabbering, bring it on and feed us!
Kai: It’s really tasty.
Reita: Nah, it’s okay; not like I’ll be going over .
Ruki: But the hamburgs we had at your place the other day were pretty good, though.
Kai: Ah, well, it’s doesn’t necessarily mean that I made them.
Ruki: But I can tell. Like “Ah, this one was by Kai-kun”.
Uruha: Well, I like miso soup so much it’s like, so safe.
Ruki: Ah, but the miso soup at your place is the instant type.
Uruha: What are you, my mom?? Well let’s just leave it at ‘what the hell’.
Reita: Well, to a certain extent.

What do you do when your bangs get long?

Uruha: Well, and what do we do when the bangs grow long?
Ruki: Cutting them solves everything, doesn’t it?
Aoi: And it’s not like stores that reject customers with long bangs even exist.
Uruha: At times when eating meals, bangs tend to get into your ramen…
Ruki: Ah, but you know, because it’s long, so when you see such people eating ramen with their hair all over their faces – ever get grossed out? (Ruki’s very realistic)
Kai: He~y! Aoi-kun does that from time to time (laughs)
Aoi: Iya~ I’m terribly sorry.
Ruki: Aoi-kun even does that thing – pushing his hair back with his glasses and slurping down his ramen…
Uruha: Occasionally he places it behind his ears like that…
Aoi: You know, I think, I probably do not really like Ruki…
Kai: Ahahahahahaha (laughs)
Uruha: For now.
Aoi: Somehow, somehow, y’know…
Ruki: But that’s cuz…
Uruha: Well, but because the fringes are long, there’s no choice but to hold them back with sunglasses~
Aoi: And following that, it’s hanging behind both ears (laughs)
Ruki: Like going “ahh~~ I don’t wanna talk anymore” (laughs)
Reita: Like the Yamatai Kingdom.
(burst of laugh)
Ruki: Someone’s taking a mail photo.
Kai: A mail photo!
Uruha: So Kai-kun.
Ruki: O~i!
Kai: I should probably have taken off my hat.
Reita: Hey!
Uruha: Something like ○○ (didn’t hear the name)
Kai: Ahahahahaha (laughs)
Aoi: Is it OK to get this far?!
Kai: If I took my hat off, it would be like Yamatai Kingdom. [The Yamatai Kingdom was a country in ancient Japanese History; people of that era sported a certain sort of hairstyle, so Kai is saying if he took his hat off, he’d look like someone from that era]
Ruki: Ahaha (laughs)
Uruha: Well, while we’re all getting out-of-character, I think I’ll introduce the next tong.
Tonight, for the second time, please listen. The GazettE’s “Guren”.

~Guren plays~

Uruha: Yes, that song was “Guren” by “the GazettE”. And~ this show~ (laughs), is brought to you by “the GazettE”s Uruha and
Reita: Reita and
Ruki: Ruki and
Aoi: Aoi and
Kai: Kai
Uruha: of ~ Peace and Smile Radio, on “the GazettE”s,
Aoi: Radio Jack EXLAMATION MARK!! Alright~
Uruha: …well,
Ruki: Pakkun Makkun! [
the duo, you can know them from "make on the holiday"]
Uruha: Will you stop interrupting!? So, continuing, as our listeners requested, we will open a talk of this week’s Gaze-stories.
Aoi: Aha, is that so…
Uruha: Without a delay, I’ll move to that part.

Memories of Valentine’s Day

Ruki: But it’s related to the previous topic.
Uruha: It’s not related! Valentine’s coming up soon, so everyone’s going to receive a whole bunch of things. Well, first up! Well, directing this at Reita-kun…
Reita: What (are you directing)?!
Uruha: At Valentine’s you’ve got the top position of the-most-received-gifts, in the office. [he meant PSC?..]
Reita: Wasn’t that about 4 years ago? Such glory was a thing of the past! Now… I just buy things for myself.
Ruki: One of those in your pile was from me, by the way.
Reita: Oops, I’ve caused a bit of an accident. (laugh)
Uruha: Should we pass this, as it seems to be hazardous?
Ruki: No no, let’s share it.
Uruha: What are your memories of Valentine’s Day?
Ruki: Ah, but Valentine’s is kinda all about getting chocolates, or you get presents.
Aoi: It’s chocolate.
Kai: Chocolate.
Reita: About the presents…
Aoi: Like, ah… there’s a lot, geez…
Ruki: Well, we get stuff like mufflers, don’t we. People who see the gift in a weird way will be like, see – health and physical education.
Kai: Health and physical education (laughs)
Ruki: I’m doing Rock for health & physical education.
Reita: I’ve heard that Aoi, ne, he received a fish and there was a chocolate in it!
Ruki: Oh my gosh! Gross! You open monkfish’s mouth and whoa! It contains chocolate.
Uruha: That’s a real taiyaki.
Kai: Ahaha! (laughs)
Ruki: Taiyaki, you say…
Kai: Interesting!
Reita: I hear he found it in his shoe locker.
Ruki: How about that…
Uruha: But well, probably the most beautiful memories of Valentine are from the elementary school days…
Reita: That’s right~
Uruha: You know my heart always fluttered when I received something…
Ruki: You know our doorbells at home? The intercom. When it rings and I answer, they’re practically coming into your house..
Reita: Ah~~~
Ruki: So, when you open the door and they’re there like BAM, you just wanna run away like mad.
Uruha: Ah~! So they‘re just watching you freak out?
Aoi: Oh you know when they come all the way to your place, girls hardly come alone, right? You always hear about a group of three… ever experienced that?
Reita: No -- Yeah yeah…
Aoi: What’s with you~
Ruki: So, I’m looking through that tiny peephole in the door like BAAAM
Reita: “Like baaaam”…
Aoi: Wasn’t the door already open?
Ruki: Eh? N- wro--- [he’s trying to say no]
~chaos~
Aoi: Smackdown.
Uruha: Wow you’re popular~~
Kai: Oh, and when you end up liking the girl that follows (the main girl)?
Uruha: Ah~~! That’s not a happy moment, hey.
Ruki: Or when they say things like “Go for it, Yoshimi! What?? Eri, you go!” You’d think it’s one person playing a double role; and furthermore in a super girly voice.
~burst of laugh~
Uruha: It’s realistic.
Ruki: Why, it’s not realistic at all! Then you ask who’s there and she goes “I’m Yoshie” but it’s actually Yoshimi
Reita: And when I thought that there was a great ruckus at the doorway, a catfight was going on
Kai: Totally pushing the chocolate at each other
Reita: Just arguing about which of them should go for it. The chocolates all went to waste.
Aoi: And you’re like, ah…. Is this ok…
Uruha: So there was such a thing happening…
Reita: Huh?
Uruha: Real cat-fight.
Reita: Eh, nono! Anyways, did everyone give that properly?
Aoi: A return gift?
Ruki: A return gift~ When I was in elementary school, my parents went to buy it.
Reita: It would be candies or marshmallows.
Aoi: As for me, it was a handkerchief.
Kai: I remember the marshmallows! Which was it?
Uruha: So, it’s like, marshmallows are the social obligation?
Ruki: For my family it was always white chocolate. From Godiva.
Reita: What kind of upbringing did you have?!
Kai: Godiva’s (laughs)
Reita: I [would get] ginko.
~burst of laughter~
Aoi: That’s the stuff that falls around the school!!
[It’s common to see ginko trees around school grounds in Japan. However some time around Autumn, the nuts will fall, and when they crack, they leave a terrible smell around the place.]
Kai: It’s really smelly!
Uruha: Uber-smelly, isn’t it?
Ruki: Like leftover chawan mushi [steamed egg custard].
Aoi: Even so~
Uruha: Reita-kun thought of something awesome.

Long-distance relationships as a student

Uruha: I’m good at this kind of thing…
Ruki: Being a student… and having a consecutive-distance relationship [Note: Ruki is mis-pronouncing Enkyori (long-distance) with Renkyori (although there’s no such word, ‘ren’ refers to consecutive, as in ‘renzoku’), joking about having many relationships]
Kai: ‘Consecutive-distance relationships’…
Ruki: Ah~ so what about long-distance relationships?
Reita: But speaking of long-distance relationships, the specialist is Kai-san.
Kai: Hey! Wait a second!
Reita: No one can surpass Kai-san in this.
Ruki: Master Of long-distance relationships.
Reita: But that region is faaar away, she was from Okinawa, right?
Kai: Well, isn’t it better to think sometimes “that distance is just right”? If we’re close by, for example, we’ll always end up wanting to meet each other. Well, but for a student?.. Ah, for a student it would be a little bit painful indeed.
Uruha: Because you can’t even meet for a while. But then again, students are quite free.
Kai: Eh, but there’s no money…
Ruki: Iya~ But~ because they can’t meet~ they get worried~ so if they’re going to date like this, might as well break up.
Kai: This has a point, too!
Ruki: Right? I mean, it’s a long-distance to begin with. Hmmmmm I don’t really get it.
Kai: How did they even meet?
Ruki: No, but I mean, if they know it’s going to be a long-distance relationship ANYWAY, stop being all worried! Take a stand! (he’s kinda acting like a big sister now)
Reita: You can call it taking a stand, but the cruel part about it is, that one may call it ‘intentionally leaving a distance in between’…
Rest of 4 members: Ah!! That’s harsh!!
Kai: Y’know probably , there are those who take pretty big damage from that (laugh) don’t you think?
Ruki: Ah, on the contrary, they’re actually close by. Something like that?
Uruha: Somehow… there are people who are crying alone… Well, that’s kinda profound… ah well, it’ll work out in the end.
Ruki: Fight! Yoshie!
Uruha: No No, it’s Yoshimi! Well, with this, it was this week’s Gaze-stories. Here is one more song; let’s introduce it first, though. Take it away, Ruki-san.
Ruki: [Everyone of “the GazettE”, good evening.]
Aoi: Hai, good evening!
Kai: Good evening—
Reita: HEY!
Ruki: [It’s my first time sending mail in.]
Aoi: Yes, thank you!
Ruki: [I would like to request “Zetsu”. It’s the song of the time I came across “the GazettE” and it’s the song, which reminds me of someone I used to love. Eh~ The other day, I tried sending an email to that person but… got the answer saying “I’m sorry”.]
Reita: Eh?!
Ruki: At any rate, I gave up (on sending a reply), but when New Year came around I sent a Happy New Year email… [lowered his voice] but got a sending error.
Reita: Aaargh!
Ruki: [It was a real shocker. Still cannot get through this. So… So…]
Reita: Don’t stumble over your words with such a tone.
Ruki: [To get through this, please play “Zetsu”.]
Reita: I do hope you can get over this~
Ruki: It’s painful but~ well, it’s good to get over such a guy.
Reita: Well, so the guy sent such a reply.
Ruki: Breaking up wasn’t wrong.
Reita: You’ll have to accept this reality.
Ruki: Isn’t it good, though (that you broke up with) this sort of person. Well, that said, we’d like to play you this wong~ [the transcriber commented here that Ruki sounded like a tranny from China lol]
Reita: Eh?
Ruki: U~m U~m! (<-- a really disgusting voice) Okay? Haaa~~ well then, “the GazettE”s “Zetsu”.

~Zetsu plays~

Ruki: The song we just played for you was “Zetsu” of “ the GazettE”.
Uruha: Ha~I, it’s Peace and Smile radio, Radio Jack “the GazettE”. Soon, it will be the time to say goodbye.
Aoi: Yo~~~shi!
Kai: So fast~
Uruha: What are your thoughts for today? Ah, a brief summary works too.
Ruki: But~ well~
Uruha: Kunie-san, what is it? [Tanaka Kunie is an award-winning veteran actor]
Ruki: But we’ve heard a lot today~ (imitates Kunie-san)
Kai: Ahahahahahaha (laughs)
Ruki: Y’know, I’m thinking I can only do radio, and nothing else…
Uruha: I see.
Ruki: Don’t you think so?
Kai: I do!
Reita: Such a never-before-seen “the GazettE”
Ruki: Not seen at all~ We hope you’ve enjoyed this gap of “the GazettE” you see in the video and “the GazettE” you hear in the radio. Eh~ we’d definitely love it if you could come for our Live.
Aoi: We don’t usually talk, but we’ll make an exception here.
Uruha: I see~.
Ruki: So, so please, don’t take away our place (on radio). Don’t take our place away!! (The girly voice is back)
Kai: Ahahahaha (laughs)
Aoi: We already don’t talk very well as it is!
Ruki: Please don’t take any more from us!
Uruha: Well, that said, it was fun.
Ruki: How lonely~

the GazettE News/Info

Uruha: Well, that said, starting with next week, it’s “Kra”s turn at Peace and Smile Radio.
Aoi: Oh!
Uruha: It’s “Kra”, right. With that said, please take care of “Kra”.
Reita: Hey it seems that there was a sudden decision to have “the GazettE” on again next week.
Uruha: For real?
Kai: Ah~~~~~~~!!
Aoi: Eh~~~ You still act like that until the very end~!
Reita: Just had to say it~
~chaos~
Uruha: I would like to say thank you to everyone. It was really fun. For the very end, a farewell word from Shingo-chan!
Ruki: Have nice dreams.
Reita: Ah~ I thought “the dirty ones?” [so Reirei XD]
Kai: Ahahahahahahahaha!!!
Uruha: Is that what you thought of~ Well, lastly, Shingo-chan.
Reita: … What?... It’s me?... Sorry, cannot do that.
Uruha: Well, let’s have this for the very end. With that said, thank you very much for being with Radio Jack “the GazettE” for 2 months. Your companions were “the GazettE”s Uruha with
Reita: Reita and
Ruki: Ruki and
Aoi: Aoi and
Kai: Kai~
Uruha: All together~
Everyone: Bai ba~~i
